Browsing Amazon for Animaniacs stuff, I found a few pretty weird items that I'd never seen before. Does anyone have any of these?

As a fan, I kind of want it just to hear it at least once. However, the reviews aren't very positive, and judging from the one 30 second sound clip they have, I think I can see why.

I don't know what to think of this one. If it were a Tiny Toons/Looney Toons CD then that would make more sense. Too bad there isn't enough info about it.

I'm not exactly sure what this is. Animaniacs choral sheet music? Like for singing? This has got to be one of the most bizare things I've seen.

think I have the audio cassette for this. I passed on it in the store since it looked bad & ended up finding it in my Christmas sock!
Take the very well done Christmas Plotz episode (Yakko on the staircase singing) & then take away all the good songs from the show, & replace them with "hip-hop" versions with different lyrics. I don't even think Yakko sings in it if I recall they start to go to the staircase then there's some type of lame excuse gag about why he won't sing. & this is the read along story-book version. add to the lameness... the only good song is Wakko's Ghost of Christmas Past song. it's sort of along the same lines as the Helloooo Nurse song from the show but more of a "hip-hop" back beat.

this I bought (in the dollar after Christmas bin at sav-on). basically has the "good" songs from the previous album. also has miscellaneous Looney Tunes christmas songs on it. Foghorn rocks around the christmas tree at the farm, Elmer does Elvis, etc. they're... ok. not the best Looney Tunes christmas songs. there's one that I like - can't remember it off the top of my head. I also can't remember it because there's some type of coding on the CD that won't let me play it on my laptop! My pop it in & it spits it out!! no iTunes or iPod on this one. not that I'm missing much, but still.
The album art on this one is cute even though it uses stock modelsheet poses. at one point on the inside they do an almost Mystery Science Theatre thing where the silhouettes are watching another on stage. considering it's a throw away compilation album they at least tried. My favorite Looney Tunes christmas CD didn't have an inside at all!!

Never saw that one either!! I... may get that... expensive shipping though. maybe you're getting all the parts as well not just the conductor's score? very cool.... hmm.... maybe won't get it. we'll see. if I do get it I might donate it to my old college music department (after photocopying the score for myself of course). What I always wished for was the animaniacs suite in orchestral form. that would be fun to play!!

Just did a quick search of that publishing company. Looks like they've done a few animaniacs things:

Very interesting. They have a lot of nice stuff there, with a lot of other cartoon themes as well. If I could actually play music, I might be very interested in that.

There was a copy of this for sale for less than a dollar, so I went ahead and bought it, just out of curiousity's sake if nothing else. It is pretty bad. If those are the best of the Animaniacs songs from that other album, I don't think I want to hear the rest of them. Those were horrible. Even Dot's cute voice couldn't help that stuff.

It does have a couple good songs, though, particularly Daffy's "We Need a Little Christmas". They used to play that one in the store when I worked for KB Toys over Christmas one year. And is it just me, or does Daffy sound almost exactly like Plucky, just with a lot more spittle? Maybe it's always been that way, but I've never been much of a Daffy fan so I haven't noticed before.

The "Deck the Halls" song would be ok if not for the random Animaniacs stuff thrown in for no apparent reason. I didn't like the "Jingle Bells" song, though. Too much rap, not enough song. Wakko's and Dot's songs are pretty bad, even if I like hearing them sing. Daffy's other song is ok if it weren't contstantly inturrupted with needless comedy bits. As for Foghorn's song, it's not bad when he's not singing. Seriously, he should never be allowed to sing. Ever.

That started when Joe Alaskey started doing Daffy's voice. I honestly think he's the best Daffy out there (of course I'm biased toward Plucky so that may be part of it). Back in Mel Blanc days Daffy was just Sylvester sped up! There were other Daffys (WB's not like Disney in having one actor play the character), most notably on Space Jam but I've never liked them.

I saw an interview once (think on YouTube of a TV Broadcast) where he explained (if I remember correctly) that Daffy had a "latteral" lisp where Plucky had a "frontal" lisp. shift where the lisp is happening & it sounds like two different people! Yet with that small of a difference, Joe was able to do all the accents & extra stuff on Plucky's voice in the Halloween Tiny Toons special with it still sounding like Plucky. Amazing!!

scratch that; reverse it:

Just found the video, the frontal/lateral lisp is the opposite of what I thought.

That was an interesting video. Especially the part about the Plucky Duck show. I'd heard rumors about it, but I wasn't sure I believed them. I'm kind of glad it didn't happen, though. The duck's ego is big enough already.

It is interesting that the theme was just clips from Tiny Toons & a revised "Hudson Duck" sign to read "Plucky" instead...

Maybe it was still just in the planning stages? They may have just been trying out the concept to see if they liked it.

To get back on topic, I found novelizations of the episodes De Zanitized, Chalkboard Bungle, La la law, Taming of the screwy, and Sir yaksalot. I wonder if they got the conjugate joke in there.

Back when the show was popular, Kraft made Animaniacs mac and cheese, with pasta shaped like the Warners and Pinky and the Brain. Here's the commercial for it.
