Thanks for clearing that up! I'm glad you got over it after the 5th time. If you have any more weird dreams, just tell me.

Well, around 1993, on a Tuesday night, I had a dream that I was watching TV on a Sunday morning.

Now, back then, in Mexico, the two major networks (Televisa, TV Azteca) aired two live children's game shows. In my dream, I was switching back and forth between channels just to see which show was more interesting.

Just then, on Televisa, the host suddenly stopped and looked up, and said, "Excuse me for a moment, please remain calm. We're having an earthquake." Quickly, I switched to TV Azteca, and moments later, the hosts also said that there was an earthquake in progress. I then switched back and forth to see what was happening with both, and eventually I woke up.

I told my family the dream I had, and then I decided to make a statement:

"Between now and 10 am Sunday morning (Central Time, when both shows end), there will be an earthquake of considerable magnitude with the epicenter being off the coast of the state of Guerrero."

That is, more or less the same place where the epicenter of the huge earthquake of September 19th, 1985.

My cousin scoffed at me.

And on the following Friday morning, the news reported a 6.x earthquake with the epicenter off the coast of Guerrero. There was little damage due to all structures having been upgraded after 1985, and my cousin never scoffed at me again.

Neat! You accidentally predicted the future! You showed your cousin that dreams can mean something. If only my predictions could come in dream form.

Do you want to hear about a REALLY disturbing dream?

When I was 5 years old, the movie "Ghostbusters" once gave me a really bad nightmare.

And you might think, "Well, of course it did! The movie wasn't made for 5 year olds! Did you have to sneak around in order to see it?"

Well, here's the thing.

The dream itself was quite disturbing for a 5 year old.

But there is something even MORE spooky about the whole incident.

"Ghostbusters" premiered in 1984.

I had that nightmare...

...in 1977.

Don't ask me HOW or WHY (well, my parents were dabbling in the occult at that time, that may have influenced things a bit).

I was living in Mexico City at the time, and as such, I did NOT speak a word of English, but there was one phrase that stood out from the nightmare that I never forgot, even though I had no idea what it meant:

"Roaming vapor"

The nightmare involved a group of men, dressed in what I thought were military uniforms, discussing....something....with other men, and whenever anyone said the phrase "roaming vapor" out loud, a swarm of....somethings...enormous, monstrous somethings, led by a green blob, would cover the entire scene, and it was almost as if the scene "reset", or moved on to something else, and the men were careful not to say that phrase again, but somehow someone managed to say it again:

"Roaming vapor"

I don't think any movie or TV series ever had someone say that phrase by 1977, in English or Spanish, so don't ask me to explain how I managed to dream something like that.

So when I finally DID see the movie years later, a whole bunch of unpleasant memories came crashing down on me.

I had a really weird dream 5 years ago. I was on a plane and was force to sit in the seat closest to the plane door. Then the door accidentally was open, and I would've flung out, if it weren't for my seat belt. Then that broke, and I fell to my destination.

Did you wake up when you reached the ground? Or were you okay when you landed? Because I've had dreams where I was sure I that I was going fall to my death, but then when I hit the ground, I was fine. :|

Actually, I landed safely in Mexico, since I found out that a parachute was on my back the short time. I spent the rest of my dream exploring my destination, although I don't recall what I did there.
