People kept buying them, so Warner Bros kept commissioning them. It makes you wonder if they were planning on bringing the series back at one point. ;)

I remeber that thread! Speaking of that, while it'd be nice to see Tiny Toons back on TV, we got Duck Dodgers, one of the only good Looney Tunes reboots, instead.

I loved the duck doger's cartoon I think I prefer that over the looney tunes show or wabbit

I did too! It did a much better job of capturing the looniness of the Looney Tunes than any other show after it could. They would then make Baby Looney Tunes and Loonitics Unleashed, which missed the point of the original cartoons. While The Looney Tunes Show and Wabbit were okay, the former was just a generic sitcom, while the latter barely used any Looney Tunes characters besides Bugs, Wile E. Coyote and Yosemite Sam, and just isn't as funny as the classics.

I think it also helped by not having Bugs be the star or steal the spotlight. Aside from Duck dodgers and the Eager young space cadet I also like IQ high . Marvin as X2 and the Martian Queen Tyr'ahnee , One of my fave episode was the samurai jack parody

I agree. With how much WB focuses on Bugs, it's nice to see another character get the spotlight. I never saw the episode "Samurai Quack", but from what I saw, it did a good job spoofing the source material, even down to the art style.

Not too surprising since they got Genndy Tartakovsky to work on it.

Seriously? Talk about going all out for your parody. I might go that far when I pardoy something on my own TV shows.

Yep, the full episode is on DailyMotion if you want to see it for yourself.

Villain, no. Antagonist, yes, though often unintentionally or unknowingly.

Now that I think of it, what was the point of this thread if every sane Tiny Toons fan knows she's not villainous. The only people who think otherwise are those fanfic writers who only saw Out of Odor and Amorous Amore, that make Elmyra deliberately menacing and Furball and FIfi true lovers.

Hope you didn't mind through I just don't seeing her classed as villanous

Also another reason I like Duck Dodgers is they manged to take a 10 min cartoon and turn in half hour series and how they reoworked the looney tunes characters into sci fi parody for example

Sam becomes "K'chutha Sa'am as parody of the Klingons

Elmer becomes the FUDD a parody of the borg and the flood

Wile_E._Coyote as a predator like alien

It also got a fantasic theme song opening sung by Tom Jones I also like the episdoe with Megadeth No can hear you rock

I didn't mind. I was tired. of those bad fanfic writers distorting the characters as much as you were. I barely saw Duck Dodgers, but from what I saw, I liked it. It was probably the last reboot to truely capture the spirit of the original Looney Tunes.
