I loves those ones as well. I still have the song from Wise Little Hen stuck in my head. Also, the Band concert was made so great because Disney wanted Mickey's first color cartoon to be a masterpiece. I love all of the how to cartoons, particularly How To Play Football, Hocky Homicide, and How to Play Baseball.

I love the Oswald shorts too! I haven't seen most of the Lantz ones, but the ones I saw are still decent cartoons. I even like Egg Cracker Suite, the one you claim to hate. While it's not as good as most Oswald shorts or the best Swing Symphonies, it still has a swinging score to liven it up.

I agree. Alice had such an imagitive premise, and Fifi was a much cuter girlfriend for Pluto than Dinah. Sadly, the Alice shorts costed too much, and Fifi disappeared for some reason.

Now that I think of it, they may have dropped Fifi since Dinah was introduced in 1942, and he couldn't have a crush of Fifi without it coming off as cheating on them.

That why the dropped the original Alice who died a couple of years ago, even if wasn't the first cartoon to feature live action/animation (that honour belong to Gertie the Dinosaur and out of the inkwell) I think it inspire the later animation/live actions movies like so dear to my hearyt , song of the south Who framed roger rabbit

I agree. If it wasn't for Alice, we wouldn't have all those live action animation hybrids. Also, another inspiration for the Alice Comedies were Max Fliescher's Out of the Inkwell series, featuring Koko the Clown and Fitz the Pup.

I was so creeped out when I saw the real-life girl in those black-and-white cartoons. I'm sure others felt the same way. It's something I'm not used to seeing.
