I have heard of it, and it sounds pretty good. I love movies that can introduce me to other cultures. Still, I'm looking forward to Incredibles 2 more.

Back in 2005, I got a Pringles print that claimed Incredibles 2 was coming out soon. Fortunately, that announcement has come true.

So basically, they're remaking "The Book Of Life". Does Disney even try anymore?

I think it was just inspired by the day of the dead it may be a different story with the same theme

I wasn't being entirely serious there. Though I still find it odd that Disney would embark on subject matter that's so recently been covered. :|

I look at the synopsis, and it's entirely different. According to Movie Pilot,"It centers around Miguel, a young boy born in a family of shoemakers who have decided to ban music ever since Miguel's great-great-grandfather left his wife to become a musician. Obviously, Miguel develops a secret passion for music, his favorite singer being the late Ernesto de la Cruz. When he accidentally finds himself in the Land of the Dead after a strange attempt at imitating his idol, he meets his ancestors, including the lady who blamed her couple's misfortune on music, and decides to find De la Cruz with the help of a spirit named Hector. However, he's only got limited time to return to the Land of the Living — can he make it back with his family's blessing to perform once more?" From that synopsis , it sounds pretty good.

Yeah, the movie did make some weird design choices. They still worked, but look different compared to every other film at the time. Also, the director Jose Gutierrez also was the co creator of El Tigre, another cartoon with a Mexican cultural influence.

If Coco does well...I think Disney on Ice should have a Latino theme.

Not only Coco would be part of it, but also The Three Caballeros and The Emperor's New Groove.

Is there any more Disney films with a Latino theme?

The only other film I can think of with a Latina theme is Saludos Amigos. Then again, that movie isn't even remembered, so I doubt they'll include it. I'm still waiting for Disney to release that 2 pack Blu Ray with both Saludos Amigos and Three Caballeros.
