I got my copy of the Purple Rain movie the other day. :)

Rock 'n' roll cinema at its finest. ;)

Mark Windass is a genius. His musical tribute videos are nothing short of breathtaking, and his Batman tribute is no different. Set to Seal's gorgeous "Batman Forever" song "Kiss From A Rose", there's no fanboy favoritism BS here. It's an equal celebration of all of the modern live action Batman movies that had come out as of 2010 when this video was made. It's still one of the very best out there.

A song about dealing with bad kids.

I'm over spilling the Halloweeny spirit here in the music thread. The Big-O-'s cover of The Monster Mash is one of my all time favorites! They added so much of there own flare to the already classic song that I just can't help but smile when I hear it. I've never been able to find any CD's or MP3's of The Big -O- sadly, but hey, thank goodness for youtube right?

It's amazing how productive musicians used to be. This song is about Jim Morrison, who died only four months earlier, and on top of that, this was Alice Cooper's second album of 1971. Nowadays in most cases it seems like we have to wait five years or more between releases. :|

If you've been a part of youtube for years on end, then chances are this will be quite a blast from the past for you. OK Go makes, hands down the greatest music videos in the history of the industry. And their songs ain't half bad either. ;) "Here It Goes Again(on treadmills)" royally took off and became a phenomenon back in 2009. High school and college students would do recreations of it across the country. Let's go back to a simpler, happier time for youtube for a few moments. :D

Did anyone here know that Hulk Hogan had a another theme before "Real American"? I'm not sure what it's real name is, a lot of people on the internet refer to it as "Rock 'N' Wrasslin" since it was used as the theme song for the animated series starring Hogan that had the same subtitle. Regardless, it is quite a rockin' tune. But for some reason, Hogan wasn't fond of it and requested the music department of the WWF to come up with something else. Eventually delivering "Real American" to the world. I know I'll probably get a lot of heat for saying this, mostly because "Real American" is such a classic, but I think I like this music better. :P What do you think?

Pawnshop Guitars is, as far as I can tell, not a very widely known album, but it was released in 1994 by Gilby Clarke, who played in Guns N Roses after Izzy Stradlin left. I discovered it via a cassette copy that was in a box of stuff my uncle gave me when he moved, and it quickly became a favorite for me. There's honestly not one song on there that I don't like. Here's a sampling:
